There is a climate and ecological emergency. The evidence is clear that we must increase the speed with which we are helping nature to recover if we are to prevent ecological breakdown.
On Sunday 27 October 2024, Wildlife Groundswell is bringing together highly committed organisations and enthusiastic parishioners with the purpose of bridging the gap between policy and nature recovery action.
The target audience are key members of the community and members of organisations who can network and leverage nature recovery activity.
The aims of the day are to give participants an overview of environmental issues, an overview of the actors in the field of nature recovery and a vision for how they and the whole community might become more active and do something to contribute.
Objectives
- By the end of the day, participants will feel more empowered to engage and become more active.
- The Parish Council will collect organisations’ details, points of contact and volunteering opportunities to publicise on our website.
- Attendees will know where to go to become more involved.
