Finance

Each month Calstock Parish Council approves all payments from the previous month, including any grants that have been awarded. A summary of accounts also provides the income and expenditure to date. These are included in the Full Council minutes which are published each month under Council Minutes.

Specific financial reports (e.g. to show members’ allowances and gifts, contracts awarded & grants) can be generated on request free of charge.

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge which allows planning authorities to charge development to fund infrastructure which addresses the cumulative impact of development.  The money raised through CIL can be used to help fund a wide range of infrastructure that is needed as a result of development to benefit the local area. This can include new road schemes, flood defences, health facilities, park improvements, green spaces, community transport, community resources etc. CIL money must be spent within 5 years and we must inform Cornwall Council how we have used the money.
