The Parish Council will be publishing a tender document for the installation of solar panels on our workshop and the Cemetery Chapel in Albaston.
This follows funding received from the Cornwall Council Community Capacity Fund which enabled us to commission a Feasibility Study which was undertaken by Dartmoor Energy.
The tender process will require contractors to:
- visit the sites,
- assess the condition of the roofs,
- submit a compliant MCS design,
- write a costed schedule of any remedial works required prior to installation,
- provide detailed designs for the installation,
- confirm MCS registration,
- notify the DNO and obtain G99 confirmation,
- provide 2 NR references for existing installations and
- give a timescale for the completion of the work.
We hope to take the submitted tenders to the Parish Council in March (Tuesday 10 March 2026) to approve and move this project forward.
