As A motorcyclist who has to travel this road to work each week, a speed camera would be usefull as some drivers both lorries/cars do not know what 30mph means, it is as the rule deos not apply to them.
Thank you for the comments. I will pass them onto our ward members, if it is not too much trouble it would be good if you could leave a comment on the formal consultation at this email address: traffic@cormacltd.co.uk quoting: EDG1995 Many thanks for your comment
I do not support any increase in speed limit anywhere through St Annes to Gunnislake. The A390 through St Anne’s to Gunnislake is already a hot spot for dangerous driving, particularily in the more built up areas where vehicles line the streets due to lack of parkinh An increase in traffic volume has been exacerbated by the new housing estate where parking is also woefully inadequate.
The public footpath, particularily near and on sandhill are narrow and in poor condition and usually unkept. At this time of year the path on sand hill is also slippery coupled with a lack of lighting it is an unpleasant walk when cars, many of which already exceed the speed limit. I feel if the limit is increased cars will just speed up even more making the approach into the village even more dangerous. Please rethink the logistics.
