With reference to the public notice published on 18th July 2022 in respect of a casual vacancy (Harrowbarrow Ward) we can confirm that we received 0 requests asking that an election be held. We are now able to advertise this and the other vacancy and fill them as soon as possible by co-option.
We ask those interested in the positions to let us know by Friday 19 August 2022 indicating that you are legally qualified to hold such office, and why you would like to be considered. You must be someone who fulfils at least one of the following criteria:
(a) is registered as a local government elector for the parish;
(b) has – during the whole of the preceding twelve months- occupied as owner or tenant, any land or premises in the parish;
(c) has worked principally in the parish during the preceding twelve months;
(d) had during the whole of the preceding twelve months resided in the parish or within 4.8 km thereof.
