The Walkway and Wetlands Project haveĀ  the following update on the work at Calstock Riverside:

The project is progressing well; Sufficient funding to complete the project has now been received from the Environment Agency and the planning condition has been discharged. The site is known to be vulnerable to rapidly changing ground conditions, but every effort to complete the project this autumn will be made.
The driving of the piles is due to commence W/C 23rd August. There will be lorries making deliveries into the via the car park Calstock on the Monday morning, so we are requesting local residents to park sympathetically to make access as easy as possible for lorries making deliveries and to prevent damage to property.
At present, we expected to need to shut the river path for a period of 6 to 8 weeks from mid to late September onwards whilst the bridge and breach will be made to enable the work to be carried out safely. We will seek to keep local residents with more precise and firmer information when it is available.
