Like me, you may have read the BBC article asking people to go onto a new Ramblers website and log possible “lost paths” near to them.  So many concerned people did this that the website crashed!  A timely walk therefore, to look at our candidate “lost path” coming up this Sunday:

Sunday 23 February 2020 Prince of Wales Mine & Mount Pleasant. To include the proposed addition to PROWs in the Parish known as Duke’s Lane.

Leader: Jean Miller

3.5miles circular moderate walk.

Meet at 11 a.m. in Harrowbarow & Metherell Village Hall Car Park. Car share if possible. The walk will start in the Village Hall car park on School Road, Harrowbarrow PL17 8BQ. Use the website to find directions. http://harrowbarrow-metherell-village-hall.btck.co.uk/howtofindus

The walk will take us along public footpaths, roadways, tracks with stiles, kissing gates and a field that may include livestock. There are steep climbs and descents. It can be muddy around the mine, so walking shoes or boots recommended.

Please bring a packed lunch, drinks and snacks. The toilets at the Village Hall will be available at start and end of walk. Sorry no dogs, except registered assistance dogs kept on a lead. £3 will be asked for casual walkers.

For more information please contact us at calstockfootpath@gmail.com or look on our website: http://cfs.btck.co.uk or Jean on 07825 092 392.

Happy Walking!
