Good Afternoon

At Wales & West Utilities our job is to keep communities safe and warm at home. Day to day we do that by looking after the pipes that keep the gas flowing. People across Wales and south west England rely on us to heat their homes, while we also power businesses and essential services like hospitals.

And we know that the Covid19 Coronavirus pandemic is challenging people like never before. So we are delighted to announce the launch of our Safe and Warm Fund – a £50,000 pot that community and parish councils, not for profit co-operatives, community interest companies, charities and community groups can apply to.

From food banks to energy efficiency measures, domestic abuse charities to community transport – we want to support those on the frontline – helping the most vulnerable stay safe and warm. Organisations can apply for between £500 and £5000. You can find out more information here: https://www.wwutilities.co.uk/SafeandWarm/

We would really appreciate your support in making sure as many organisations as possible can apply for this funding. Please find below some suggested social media posts which you can post from your social media account. And, attached to this email is a photo and a short film clip you can share online.

If you would like to know more about how we are responding to COVID-19, or any other aspect of our work, please do not hesitate to respond to this email if you have any questions or queries.

Additionally, our Stakeholder Newsletter will keep you updated not only on how we’re facing Coronavirus, but our other work too. Sign up here: https://wwutilities.co.uk/stayintouch/

Most of all, I hope that you and your family are well and are staying safe during these uncertain times.

Best wishes

Reece
