Telephone Bank Scam.
We have received calls from concerned members of the public in the Wadebridge area who have received calls purporting to be from Police in London, the caller stated their accounts had been hacked and they needed to withdraw large amounts of cash.
Please be advised that the Police do not make cold calls of any kind requesting the withdrawal of monies , personal or banking details this is a Scam using Police as a cover to make you feel it is a genuine call.

Would it be be better to report the scam call using a different phone as the scammers may still be n the original line?
Hi Judith, a very good point, thank you, if at all possible use another phone as scammers may still be on your original line.
