This is a plea for people to respect the disabled parking bays on the road from the Tamar past the Social Club where there a two disabled bays on the left.
Last Saturday both disabled bays were occupied by cars which weren’t showing a valid badge. On Sunday, a motorbike was parked there. On Monday a vehicle was not displaying a badge in the disabled bay in the main car park. This really makes it difficult for disabled people. We know there is a problem of parking Calstock. Hopefully, this year the Parish Council will be able to address the issue. Meanwhile, on behalf of disabled drivers I make a plea for non-disabled drivers not to use the disabled parking spaces.
There is often a further problem for the Social Club Rd disabled spaces. If cars are parked on the other side of the road they can block disabled drivers from accessing the disabled bays. Please bear this in mind when you are looking for a parking space.
