As the Parish Council cannot meet due to Government restrictions the following has been agreed by the members of the Council as of 06 July 2020.

The Council delegates authority to the Clerk in consultation with the Chairman and Vice Chairman to take any actions necessary with associated expenditure to protect the interests of the community and ensure council business continuity during the period of the pandemic Coronavirus, informed by consultation with the members of the council. This is in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 s101.         

Decisions and actions taken in the last week:

  • Sent out Planning Applications for response
  • Facilitated a meeting with Calstock councillors and members of licensing trade in area around the quay
  • Attended CC virtual meeting re play parks/wild camping/toilets/tourism
  • Arranged for new cleaning equipment and PPE for new cleaner
  • Arrangements in hand for deep clean for both toilets
  • Arranged for hand sanitisers to be placed in all 6 toilet areas with PHE (Yearly contracts)
  • Updated website as per last week’s decisions
  • Deputy Clerk working on NDP task – land ownership, CC submission, Reg 16 and press releases
  • Zoom meeting re opening of play parks
  • Accounts meeting with Dick
  • Designed and costed up for toilet signage ready for reopening (date tbc)
  • Arrange for play park signage
  • Respond to 5-day planning

  • Exploring licensing issues
  • Updated website on general information and article for local publications

  • General business – strimming, footpath maintenance, burial paperwork, briefing notes to read, organising volunteers for people in need, banking, receipts, queries from funeral directors and stonemasons
