Please do not believe what is written under application PA22/03841
The building work proposed has not started and unfortunately the committee publicly made such statements without any evidence. They have been informed of this error but refuse to apologize nor correct their mistake.
Obviously not very interested in the views of the people they are supposed to serve.

The Parish Council, at the time of the meeting, supported the application but could see that the building work had clearly started and wished the application form to reflect this. It was the formality that was questioned at the time. The minutes reflected the discussions at the time and, as stated, the application was supported by the Planning Committee.

If the parish council wished to be accurate rather than make assumptions it is quite clear that neither of the proposed extensions have been built nor any attempt to build them made. You do not need planning permission to make internal alterations, build garden walls or dig investigative trenches. No work that requires planning permission has been undertaken to this date (now 9 weeks since the application form was completed). If councilors wish to state that work has started they need to be sure of facts. If they make an error they should acknowledge it and take the opportunity to correct it.
The above reply states that the work had ‘clearly started’. Well as it hasn’t started and the main extension is hidden from view how can it be so clear???
As power lies with the county council I am not really interested that the committee supported the application after being given false information as it is only a consultation exercise. What I dislike is misinformation being given and the refusal of the parish councilors to hold their hands up and admit a mistake.
I as a resident and indeed Calstock Parish deserves better than this.
