It is with sadness that we report that Sarah Alford died on Friday 22 February 2019. Sarah was a well respected and liked member of the community and helped Roger fulfil his Parish Council duties by providing first class secretarial and IT support to him. As Clerks, we knew that Sarah and Roger worked as a team: Roger carrying out the practical side of things and Sarah the ‘behind the scenes’ all-important support.
The Parish Council office will be closed for a period of time on the afternoon of Wednesday 13th March 2019 to enable us to attend Sarah’s memorial service which will be at St Andrew’s Church, Calstock from 2.00pm. Following this, Roger has said there will be some refreshments at The Queens Head for those that can make it.
