Rare Tamar Valley River Walk at 11.00 on Sunday 21 October 2018.
The walk is about 7 miles between Horsebridge and Greystone Bridge, alongside the banks of the Tamar. It is rare because it only happens when the various landowners grant permission for the walk to take place. This happens one day a year to raise money for a local church. At the end of the walk, there is tea and cake, and a shuttle bus to take people back to their car.
The walk is flat, except for the hill from the car park down to the river, and a slight rise at the end to tea and cakes. Dogs are welcome, but take a lead as some livestock may be in the fields. It may be muddy in places. The cost in 2017 was £3 per person.

The car park at the start of the walk is signposted from both Horsebridge and from Milton Abbot. From the Milton Abbot end, you turn along the lane that takes you to the Endsleigh Hotel, and the car park is about a mile further on.
