The public toilets at Calstock have recently been deliberately left in an unclean state and cleaners have been verbally abused and threatened.
The Parish Council are monitoring the situation. If such behaviour continues there will be no option but to close the toilets. Please be vigilant and report anything suspicious to the Parish Council or log it with the police. Although it has been Calstock that has primarily been targeted, there have been problems with the toilets in Gunnislake.
The overwhelming majority of Parish Councillors are keen to keep the toilets open.
Many thanks.
Hello, I was hoping to take on the position as cleaner when mariam left the job, I live in Calstock and I drive. And would still be interested.
Dear Mary – I will email you. Thank you very much for making contact.
Do hope that we can keep them open still, when so many are enjoying the facilities and freedom that Calstock offers visitors during these challenging times. Sue.
We will only close them if it really becomes unviable to keep them open or the cleaners are under continued threat.
Very sorry to hear of this unnecessary and unhelpful offensive behaviour towards the cleaners and the public toilet. It is an essential service that CPC is providing.
This is horrific news. I thought Calstock was more civilised than that. Who are these people? Why leave a place dirty and abuse staff – it beggars belief. This Virus is bringing out the best and the worst in people – I know that first hand as I work in retail. My sympathies are with your staff. xxxx
