A very quick note to remind you that our timetable has changed and tomorrow we will see very significant changes to our weekday operation.  As well as the time of services changing, many services also have different calling patterns.

It is therefore going to be really important for customers, particularly regular travellers, to check the timetable before travel.  We have worked hard to get the message out, and we will have extra staff at stations to help customers.

This is the biggest change in 40 years, and we will be watching closely to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible, but if you see or hear of any issues, please let us know.  Jane Jones, our Head of Public Affairs is available  on 07525 275485, jane.jones@gwr.com or email me at this address and I will get back to you as quickly as I can.

Making the changes is the culmination of Network Rail’s investment in electrification and improved infrastructure, combined with investment in more staff and new trains. We are determined that it will go well, and I am grateful to you for any help you can give us to remind customers to check for changes, or indeed to alert me to any queries or questions.

Thank you again for your patience and your help in getting us to this point.

Best wishes

Mark
