The Tamar Valley Centre, just 5 minutes walk from Gunnislake Train Station, will be hosting a one-day training event next month, delivered by Healthy Cornwall.

Making Every Contact Count is a technique that anyone can use to support and encourage others to make healthier lifestyle choices.

The free training session is aimed at community organisations, local businesses and volunteers.

Jo Pridham, one of Cornwall Council’s Health, Safety & Wellbeing Champions at Tamar Valley AONB, says, “We are really pleased to be able to offer this training event. We know the difference just a few small lifestyle changes can make to your overall health. I’m certainly keen to pick up more tips!”

Organiser, Indra Herbert, says, “During the day we will discuss key health messages and the importance of healthy lifestyle choices. We will also look into how effective communication supports the promotion of key lifestyle messages”.

Making Every Contact Count will be held at the Tamar Valley Centre on Tuesday 7th August, 10am – 4pm. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, but please bring a packed lunch.

Booking is essential, as space is limited. Please contact the Tamar Valley AONB team on 01822 835030, enquiries@tamarvalley.org.uk
