Well, with 42 agenda items, there had to be one or two highlights, right?
Dorothy Kirk was presented with commemorative gift to acknowledge and thank her for her 12 years as Cornwall Councillor.
Angus Black was welcomed as the new Cornwall Council and we all said we are looking forward to working together.
Our Chair and Vice Chair remain Jim Wakem and Mark Warwick, respectively.
Our meetings will continue to be held on a Tuesday evening with our Full Council meetings being held on the second Tuesday of the month at 1900 in the Tamar Valley Centre unless unforeseen exceptional circumstances occur.
Our Committees will be:
- Amenities, Roads and Transport
- Burial
- Environment and Climate Emergency
- Finance and General Purposes
- Personnel
- Planning
- Recreation and Open Spaces
The public are welcome to attend all but Personnel (as these can be of a confidential nature) but we do ask that the public only speak on an item listed on the agenda – you can contact the Clerk and request an item is included. Agendas are published 5 working days before a meeting, so please make sure any requests are made in plenty of time.
There are 4 councillor vacancies across the parish so we will try and fill these after the Full Council meeting on Tuesday 10 June 2025 – please see a separate post for more details about these ‘casual vacancies’ and the ‘co-option’ process.
