We are delighted to tell you that the shop will be opening on Wednesday 22nd October!, this will be a ‘soft’ opening, meaning no big celebration just open and giving us time to settle in. We will plan a big celebration for another date. Please be kind to our new staff, we are new to this and there will be hiccups!
In other news; This Sunday 5th October is our Auction of Promises 2-4 at the Carpenters Arms. Please come along. There are some amazing promises on offer. We can take sealed bids in advance but it’s much more fun to come along! Attached is the list of promises available and the poster. (Due to time limitations, we have once again had to limit the number of ‘lots’, if you have offered a promise, and it isn’t in our list, please do not be offended, we have had to make some tough decisions this time).
We are also offering transport (for a small donation) from the village hall carpark to the pub, please let Carol know if you would like to be picked up on 07443 933989. Some door to door pickups can be arranged but these will be limited. Bring some friends and take the bus. It will solve the parking issue and make for a fun afternoon! (there does appear to be some roadworks taking place near the pub, so please allow plenty of time to get there).
