Towards the end of last year we met Christie Ferrari Facey an inspirational young woman whose baby, Violet, had sadly been born still in the summer.

Christie explained that she would like to set up a memorial garden in a community space for people to come and reflect and meet others who have survived similar traumas.  The Parish Council supports this wonderful idea and agrees with Christie that the Millennium Green in Albaston is the perfect location.

Christie will need some help in planning the garden and setting it up and she is keen that it is an environmentally friendly area.

Christie has set up a webpage where you can find out more about her family’s experience and her ideas for the garden.  On the website you will see that she is asking if anyone can offer help – whether that is advice, practical help or if you have have plant cuttings and materials that could be used for raised beds.  The details of how to contact Christie can also be found on the site.
