Closed: Newton – Harrowbarrow Footpath

Just a reminder that the newly designated footpath between Newton and Metherell (Carpenters Arms) remains closed due to an unsafe retaining wall at one end. The whole path has been closed and public access is prohibited. Cornwall Council has the right to apply to extend the deadline if the work has not been completed by 11 May 2026.

The Parish Council will continue to liaise with Cornwall Council about this and continue to campaign for it to be opened, safely, as soon as possible.
