We have had a query from somebody trying to locate the whereabouts of a portrait of a mining engineer called Ernest Terrell. He worked for Hemerdon Mine during the First World War. Sadly he died when he was 44 but had done so much for mining in Devon and Cornwall that a portrait was commissioned to be put in the Young Men’s Institute in Gunnislake.

The person does not want the portrait back but would like a photograph of it. Please could you contact the Parish Council if you have any information that may help us?
