Over Christmas a large number of rubbish bags were left outside the village hall which the ducks, gulls and foxes broke into and proceeded to spread the contents around.

Whilst making our beautiful area look untidy, it also poses a serious environmental problem attracting rats and other vermin.  Please can we take this opportunity to remind you that household rubbish is collected on a Wednesday and should be ready for collection from 7.00am but should not be left out for hours before this time.

Bags left out are at risk of being opened and individuals identified by the contents could be reported for fly-tipping. Asking for additional waste collections incur extra cost to the parish council. The public areas for leaving bags of rubbish  (on the day of collection) are by the red telephone box, by the gate entrance to the small car park and half-way along Fore Street.
