After over five years of work, the Calstock Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan has been submitted to Cornwall Council and has passed legal compliance checks. The Statutory Regulation 16 Consultation is now underway.  This will be open until 01 October 2020.  This would normally be a six-week process but due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, it will run for a twelve-week period.  Referendums are being postponed until May 2021, but a post-examination amended plan will carry significant weight in making planning decisions.

This stage is carried out directly through Cornwall Council. To make a comment you should visit the Planning Register and search for PA20/00005/NDP.  Details can then be found by clicking the Documents tab.  If possible, comments should be submitted online by registering then selecting the “submit comments” icon and completing the online form. This will immediately update Cornwall Council’s database and ensure that comments are made available to the public. If your response is likely to be longer than the equivalent of one side of A4 paper, please also submit a short executive summary of your comments. If you do not wish to submit comments online, any views you may have on the application should be emailed to the Local Plans Team at Neighbourhoodplanning@cornwall.gov.uk quoting reference number PA20/00005/NDP”.

We would be grateful if you could also send a copy to Calstock Parish Council, Tamar Valley Centre, Cemetery Road, Drakewalls, PL18 9FE or email clerk@calstockparishcouncil.gov.uk

Any comments received by the Parish Council will be discussed by the NDP working group and Committee who will pass recommendations to the full Parish Council for their approval and thence on to Cornwall Council.
