Due to the restrictions placed on the council as a result of the pandemic Coronavirus, this response represents the opinion of members of Calstock Parish Council identified through a consultation process and will be ratified at the next appropriate meeting of the council.
As per the eight comments I have received back these are the responses I am proposing for the following applications:
Application PA20/01985 CALSTOCK
Proposal Outline application for the construction of bungalow with all matters reserved.
Location Southlee Nurseries Eric Road Calstock Cornwall

Object: 6 object 2 abstain
Response: The Parish Council object to this application as it is contrary to our Neighbourhood Development Plan Section HP1.1 – Settlement Development Boundaries – this falls outside the Settlement Development Boundary and HP1.3 – it does not fit with any other the criteria listed, within the NDP, for support outside the SDB. It is also planning in the open countryside in an AONB and WHS.
Application PA20/03046 CALSTOCK
Proposal Outline application for construction of a single dwelling with all matters reserved
except access.
Location Meadowood Sandways Calstock Cornwall
Applicant Mr & Mrs Walker
Object: 6 object 1 abstain 1 support
Response: The Parish Council object to this application as it is contrary to our Neighbourhood Development Plan Section HP1.1 – falls outside the Settlement Development Boundary and
HP3.1 – New residential infill development will be supported within the settlement development boundaries, – this falls outside the SDB
The rural gaps are being retained between Albaston and Calstock contrary to this planning application.
