In between doing some litter picking and helping to recycle Christmas wreaths, children (with Headteacher, Mrs Cox) from Delaware Primary School enjoyed finding out about people who died in the World Wars. Thanks to Lorna Potter from Calstock Parish Archives for researching this and meeting with the group today.
The children have been keen to help in the Cemetery and have planted some flowers and bulbs, have picked up litter and are now removing Christmas Wreaths and putting the natural elements in the compost bin.
Christmas and poppy wreaths are always removed at the end of January in all of our cemeteries
